Welcome to ASHYAC, formerly CAYAC, an exhibition and competition of work by young artists in the Huntingdonshire area. Now in its 12th year, we are grateful to St Ivo Academy for hosting the 2026 exhibition on Saturday 7th March 2026.
If you would like your school to take part in the 2027 exhibition, please register your interest using the registration form on the ‘Register to take part’ page of this website, or using the email address on the ‘Contact’ page. If you have any queries about the exhibition, please contact us at ashyoungartists@gmail.com. Registration will open in autumn 2026
To take part, you should select artwork from your school.
Please see the ‘Entry & Permission’ page of this website for more information regarding work which is eligible for entry and the permission slip that must accompany the artwork. Please note that entries will need to be collected or delivered in January 2027 to allow time for judging and displaying the exhibition.
Please check this website regularly as we will provide up-to-date information on the competition. You will find this on the ‘News’ page. This will include arrangements for collection or delivery of the artwork. Where Arts Society volunteers are in place, they will be able to help you with transporting work to the exhibition venue.
All entries will be displayed in the exhibition. Entrants and their parents will be invited to an when prizes will be awarded for the work judged ‘Best in each Category’ and overall winners for ‘Best in Show’ (at both Primary and Secondary levels.)
The Arts Society is proud to support this exhibition and will be inviting Arts Society visitors from around the region to attend and vote on the ‘Best in Show’ choices. This is a fantastic opportunity for your students to be part of a major public art exhibition, with the possibility of their gaining both individual recognition and publicity for your school’s achievements in art.
